Burglar Bars for Arched and Round Windows

When standard bars will not fit

Off-the-shelf burglar bars come in rectangles. Fit one to an arch and you either leave gaps or cover the glass with a bulky frame. A custom grille follows the curve of the opening, so there is no gap to work through and no clumsy frame.

This page covers the unusual shapes. For anything beyond unusual shapes, our main page covers standard windows, retractable grilles and what to expect: burglar bars and window security for unusual shapes.

How a custom grille is made

• We measure the opening, or work from a template, in person
• The frame is made at our Vanderbijlpark factory to that exact shape
• Mesh or bars are chosen to suit the building
• Fitted by the team that made it
